What is NIR?
NIR or Near Infrared therapy is a skin therapy that uses the energy from NIR technology to rejuvenate the skin.
How many treatments do you recommend?
Each persons skin is individual and will respond differently to NIR treatments. We therefore recommend an initial course of 3 to 6 sessions, with each session at least 3 weeks apart.
What are the benefits?
NIR targets skin rejuvenation. It will tighten the skin leading to a noticeable improvement in skin texture as it smooths and plumps the skin. Over the course of your treatment plan you will see improvements in texture, firmness, and evenness of your skin.
When will I start seeing benefits?
You will typically start to see results after 28 to 40 days. This corresponds to when the old skin cells have started to regenerate.
Is the treatment painful?
There will be no pain or discomfort during the treatment. You will feel slight heat, with many people saying that it is like a warm massage on the face.
What is the length of each treatment?
Each treatment typically takes between 45 and 60 minutes.
Can I go out in the sun?
We recommend to avoid the sun and make sure you are wearing at least an SPF 30+ sunscreen throughout the duration of your treatment program. Unlike IPL it doesnโt make your skin photo sensitive (easier to burn).
